The 5-Minute Visibility Check
This takes five minutes. Be honest. It only works if you are.
Part 1: Foundation
Foundation is what most buyers actually use to find and trust you before they ever talk to you.
- Is your Google Business Profile updated in the last 30 days: hours, photos, posts?
- If a stranger landed on your website’s home page right now, could they tell what you sell in the first screen, without scrolling?
- Do you have at least 2-3 recent reviews, and are you asking for them on a schedule?
Part 2: Amplifier
Amplifier is everything that spreads the word once the foundation is solid: social media, ads, referral asks.
Here’s the test: if you stopped posting on social media for thirty days, would your business still get found?
If the honest answer is no, your visibility is running on amplifier with no foundation underneath it. That works until it doesn’t.
Part 3: Score Yourself
Count how many of these are true right now:
- Google Business Profile updated in the last 30 days
- Website’s first screen clearly says what you sell
- 2-3 recent reviews, collected on a schedule
- You could stop posting for 30 days and still get found
- You have a working follow-up system for people who reach out
0-1: Your visibility is almost entirely dependent on effort you’re putting in every day. That’s exhausting, and it’s fragile.
2-3: You have a foundation forming. A few specific fixes would carry a lot of weight.
4-5: Your foundation is solid. Everything else you do is the cherry, not the cake.
If you scored under 4 and want a second pair of eyes on it, that’s a short, complimentary conversation. No pitch, just a clearer read on where the leverage is.
