Are You Surviving or Building This Giving Tuesday?

Surviving a setback is no small thing.
If you have ever navigated a crisis, you know the exhaustion of clawing your way back from the edge. You know what it feels like to fight to stand on your own two feet again.
For many nonprofit leaders, that is EXACTLY what preparing for Giving Tuesday feels like. A frantic, last-minute scramble. A reactive, high-stress sprint to hit a number. It is a season we survive.
But here is the shift I want to offer you today: a comeback proves you can survive. You were not put here just to survive.
You were put here to build. You were meant to thrive!
When you are in survival mode, the questions are urgent. How do we fix this? How do we stop the bleeding? Everything is on fire! Can anyone relate? That mindset is necessary in a crisis. But once you have found your footing, those questions no longer serve you.
The real transformation happens when you ask something different: What can we build from this?
For years, we have treated Giving Tuesday like a crisis to be managed. But what if, instead of just patching together another campaign, we used it as an opportunity to build something stronger? What if we used it to draw a new blueprint?
That is the exact conversation I am having with my friend and industry partner, Jena Lynch from Donorbox, in our upcoming LinkedIn Live on October 23rd.
We won’t give you another 50-point checklist that adds to your stress. We are going to give you a simple, human-centered game plan. We will walk through three simple, practical moves you can make right now to turn this year’s Giving Tuesday from a frantic scramble into a powerful, strategic moment of connection with your community.
This is not about doing more. It is about doing less, but better.
Because you were not put here just to survive fundraising season. You were put here to build something that lasts. Let’s draw the blueprint together.
