The Beads Were Just the Beginning
I was under 10 years old the first time I launched a business. It did not have a name or investors. It had Mardi Gras beads.
In New Orleans, Mardi Gras is a way of life. After every parade, the streets were littered with beads that had just been fought over. For most, they lost their value the moment the parade ended. But I started to wonder: What if they were just in the wrong place?
Armed with a trash bag, I convinced my family to help me collect beads from the streets. We brought them home, sorted them, and I listed them on eBay. To everyone’s surprise, people bought them. Orders came in from all over the country. What had seemed ordinary to me was special to someone else.
That experience taught me something I see clearly now: the most overlooked things often hold the most value. It is a lesson that shaped the founding of My Mogul Media in 2009 and remains the core of our work today. We look at the challenges facing nonprofit leaders—the clunky systems, the manual tasks, the overwhelming pressure—and we do not see problems. We see possibility.

A Global Ecosystem for a Global Mission
To empower 10,000 nonprofits by 2030, you need more than a great idea; you need a world-class team with a world of perspective. Our ecosystem is intentionally global. With nearly 20 leaders working remotely from Atlanta to Argentina, Pakistan, India, Africa, Mexico, and across the United States, we bring a rich diversity of thought, experience, and culture to every challenge.
This is our strategic advantage. Our global team allows us to build truly empathetic systems, designed with a deep understanding of the varied communities our clients serve. We are not just building for a local market; we are building a platform for worldwide impact.
