Professional Services Toolkit

Welcome. The toolkit is below.

I built this for the professional services owners I talk to most: consultants, advisors, agencies, firms where the relationship is the product. Three tools. No fluff.

The Three-Page Pressure Test

Before you touch anything else on your website, pressure-test these three pages. Answer honestly.

  • Does the home page name the problem before it names the firm?
  • Does the About page earn trust without leaning on the resume?
  • Do the services pages show the path, not just the menu?

If you answered no to any of these, you’re not alone. It’s fixable. I wrote the full framework here, with a real example of what changed when a firm fixed it.

Professional Services Tech Stack Checklist

Five things worth having in place, in order:

  1. A CRM or pipeline tracker, somewhere every active conversation lives, not just your memory.
  2. A scheduling link, so “let’s find time” doesn’t become three days of email tag.
  3. An automated follow-up email system, so no one falls through a gap because you got busy.
  4. A proposal or engagement-letter process, repeatable, not rebuilt from scratch every time.
  5. A single client-status view, one place that tells you where everyone actually stands.

You don’t need all five today. You need to know which one is missing.

Module 1 of the Architect’s Method: Name the Problem First

Every system I build starts the same way. Not with a tool, with a sentence. Before we pick software or redesign a page, we name the actual problem out loud. Not the symptom. The problem underneath it.

Most firms skip this step. They jump straight to “we need a better website” or “we need a CRM,” and they end up with more tools and the same quiet mess underneath. Naming the problem first is what makes everything after it actually work.
